The research focuses on understanding how changes in metabolism, particularly insulin resistance, affect heart and blood vessel health. We carry out clinical studies to explore how genetic factors and the way the body stores and uses fat influence cardiovascular risk, with the aim of improving early detection and developing more targeted approaches to prevention and treatment.

Metabolic Phenotyping in Individuals with Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (vEDS) Study
This study will help improve understanding of how connective tissue biology may influence metabolic health and whether individuals with vEDS may have previously unrecognised metabolic features.
